"ShipCore" is a text-based sci-fi adventure that blends interactive fiction with management simulation elements. Not sure if I just reached the end of what was built or if I missed a choice that would have branched into doing something else, but I reached a point where I was just making infinite money via business, paid off my debts, and just couldn't find anything else to do but simple repetitive actions like going to the dojo, working in engineering, etc. Tried to max out to black market activity to see if it would trigger something but couldnèt seem to get there (might have just gotten impatient after it got to the dark red warning). Had a lot of fun though! If or when the next version comes out Ill hafta start over to try it out.

Yeah, that's the end of the current content at the moment. The Shop is still in a very alpha state and not super balanced.

The idea is to make sure there is a bit of lead up to getting the place, and then using it to profit (build up should be a bit slower, right now it spirals fast into big money) and recruit more people. (It also just gives you free employees, ideally you'd go to bars and other places to hire people to go in your companion slots, then you'd deposit them to the business, ship etc.)

Then more conflict with Braxton, with some gangs of new york style fighting over the lower decks, before the player could branch out to own more businesses in the mid deck and hopefully pay off their debt and work toward their first ship.

Development is currently halted while I switched back to writing ShipCore and Demoness full time... its really hard for me to wear the Dev and Writer hat at the same time.

The game is open source though! So anyone wanting to help out can!

Woo! Game! Came from Royal Road... Looking at those screenshots, that's a lotta debt!

Save Scumming the Patch-It Pod...

So, there's a limited number of character arts. Well, they look good. I wanted a Funky Hair color, or at least Red though, ah well.

Saving while travelling allows easy rerolls of travel events. Do you know what I mean? Or do you want to give me the save location so I can pass you a save file?

"Purchase VigorMax Shot (00:15) 1000 Cr." doesn't seem to do anything. I wanted to get less Fatigued.

Braxton's image is broken.

Check the personal tab on the right under consumables for the vigormax. Noted I need to make it more clear on how to use them once you get your first one.

Using the back feature / reloading for random events isn't something I've figured out a solution for. I might make it so you can only save it in the 'safe' player 'house' areas, and disable the back button entirely.

I'll look into Braxton's image being messed up, its possible that the image assets didn't get put into the itch version properly.

For the portraits, I've been experimenting with generating more of them, but figuring out how to manage to handle all the portraits requires more thought!

Thanks for the reports!
